Utah’s HB 322— recently signed into law— follows the inspiring trend of state action to protect child influencers.
Based on the language from the original Washington State bill, it provides financial compensation and a right to privacy for child influencers.
One of the things that makes Utah unique is the testimony from Shari and Kevin Franke, associated with the Eight Passengers family influencing account. Their first-hand testimonies demonstrate the need for comprehensive protections for this new generation of “child stars”.
